Hunter Rain Boots For Women – Size 9UK, 11US, 43EU

By June 14, 2016Flats

Who would have said Wellington boots would become such a statement? Hunter Rain Boots for Women have become a must, specially here in the UK. Hunter Wellies are everywhere!

Hunter was founded in 1856 and it’s an innovative British brand that keep its British heritage, which implies elegance and classic designs.

I owned my first pair of Hunter rain boots 5 or 6 years ago, and I would say that back then they only had their basic models available for women in size 9UK. I was so happy to find out they have a bigger range of feminine wellies up to size 9UK at the moment.

Before I talk to you a bit more about my findings I want to let you know a few things to bear in mind when ordering your Hunters online:

  • Hunter Wellington boots run quite on the large side. My last pair were a size 8UK, when I normally wear a 9UK
  • The bigger is the size, the taller is the boot. If you are quite short and wear a bigger shoe size, please take this into account. The pair might reach your knees.
  • The same happens with the calf circumference. But if you need wider boots, check the Huntress.
  • They won’t keep you warm if it’s freezing. I would recommend you investing in proper Wellington socks.
  • They are very comfortable to go out and about all day long, but keep in mind they are quite heavy as well.

Such fun!

Lovely gloss finish for this girly pair!

Refined Back Strap Wellington Boots

The new refined version of the iconic Original Hunter.

The main difference I see is that this model has a reduced curve of the toe and the top front has been extended.

They look more feminine to me than the Original Hunter. It’s available in several colours.

Price: £125

As I already said, Hunter Wellington boots have become a fashion statement. They last a lot if you treat them with care. I normally renovate my pair every 2-3 years, and just because I want a new pair, not because they look bad! If you want to read more about Hunter sizes you can click here.

And if their calf circumference is not enough for you, you can always check the Huntress model, which is a wide-calf boot. The Huntress is also your choice if you are quite short. The model is 2 inches shorter than the original Hunter rain boots. Click here to read more about it.

And if you love Hunter Wellington boots like I do, but you find them a bit on the heavy side, they have a “Tour” Packable Rain Boot, which is a lighter version. Therefore Hunter has options for everyone!
